WHY PARTICIPATE?
[clausula.meta.x] I. offers an extended environment for artists seeking to develop music-theatrical work through rigorous exchange rather than isolated production.
The residency provides:
– Four online seminars followed by an on-site festival residency
– Sustained feedback from an international cohort and invited mentors
– Time for analysis, experimentation, discussion, rehearsal planning, and methodological reflection
– Direct engagement among compositional, performative, directorial, dramaturgical, scenographic, and technological practices
– A structured progression from initial presentation to public realization
– Public presentation at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week
– Laboratories and research formats devoted to practice-led inquiry
– Professional contextualization and documentation of selected projects
– Opportunities to establish lasting artistic and professional relationships
The residency is intended for applicants seeking both to realize a project and to examine how music-theatrical meaning is composed, embodied, mediated, produced, and transformed.
